Edward Hines founded the Edward Hines Lumber Co. on March 17th, 1892, St. Patrick's Day. Early on Hines was dedicated to providing lumber products focused on specific customer needs. Hines was among the first companies to segregate delivery of lumber into standard sizes and grades based upon customer specifications.
